Event Description:
KishHealth System Physical Therapy Center in partnership with Castle Bank, Sandwich Park District, Fox Valley YMCA, and Sandwich Chamber of Commerce is hosting the inaugural 5K Hunger Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 9:00 am, at the Sandwich Fairgrounds. This event is not meant to be competitive but to promote health and fitness for the local community and families.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to area food pantries and the Foods Resource Bank to support their continual efforts to reduce local and world hunger, benefiting Cornerstone Church, Our Sharing Pantry, Hinckley Area Food Pantry, Helmar Lutheran Church Pantry, The Store at Harvest Chapel, Five Loaves and Two Fishes, and Kendall County Food Pantry.
Event day registration and packet pick up available from 7:45 – 8:45 am at the fairgrounds. Registration closes at 8:45 am and the run/walk begins promptly at 9:00 am. $25 registration fee on the day of the run. Event day registrants will receive a T-shirt, while supplies last.
