The Children’s Advocacy Center of DeKalb County (CAC) is hosting the 2020 Annual Walk to End Child Abuse on May 2nd, 2020 starting at 9:00 AM at the Sycamore High School Field House. The purpose of this walk is to bring awareness to our community about the realities of child abuse and raise the funds to assist with both prevention efforts and our current child abuse cases here in DeKalb County. Our overall mission is to prevent and reduce child abuse nationwide and within our local community. To this end, the CAC implements a multidisciplinary approach to most effectively investigate, prosecute, and treat cases of child physical and sexual abuse. We collaborate with law enforcement, DCFS investigators, and state’s attorneys to keep our communities safe. We also work with medical and mental health professionals to ensure children and families receive proper treatment.
